Alan joined SSF’s Tacoma team in September 2024. He was born in Olympia and grew up in Seattle and Tumwater. He went on to attend Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in engineering with a civil/environmental engineering concentration. While he loves visiting Michigan, he’s happy to be back in the Puget Sound and close to family. Depending on the time of year, you will often find Alan enjoying a Seahawks, Sounders, or Mariners game. Why structural engineering? It’s a classic story of a love for math and science combined with a fascination for architecture.
