From an early age, Elliot was always interested in building and architecture, while also knowing he wanted to become an engineer. After high school graduation, he moved from Sammamish to Cleveland, where he completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in structural engineering at Case Western Reserve University. Missing the evergreens, mountains, and great food, he returned to Seattle after graduation and joined SSF. For fun, he combines his engineering knowledge with clay to create sculptures and functional pottery. Cooking and baking are also high on the list, much to the enjoyment of his roommates – and workmates! Traveling often includes visits to the Bay Area, New Mexico, or anywhere with old structures to explore.
