Karl was destined to land in the a/e/c industry. His father was a civil engineer with the US Forest Service. As a young adult, Karl worked in a building supply store and later as a framer. After 4 years at a small engineering firm, he contacted several architects to inquire about their favorite structural engineering firms. SSF’s name was mentioned over and over. In 2005, Karl was hired and has found it to be an outstanding fit. On his off-time, Karl is a particularly skilled craftsman and he also loves road trips with his wife and two boys.
