Alyssa was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, and attended Purdue University in West Lafayette. After college, several close friends moved to Seattle, so she followed suit! Her inspiration to become a structural engineer started in high school while participating in tower and bridge-building events through Science Olympiad. Her cousin is an architect and played a big part in her fascination with buildings and structures. Before engineering, she was a summer camp counselor for three years, where she enjoyed working with kids, doing arts and crafts, and being outside! In her downtime, she loves to explore Vietnamese restaurants, try out new cafes, and play games online with friends.
