When asked, “What influenced your job in the built environment?” Ethan replied that his dad was a builder and his mom owned a landscaping business, so he was familiar with the industry. Entering college undecided, Ethan signed up for an introductory engineering class. One of the first lectures was about the elegance of structures, and boom – he was hooked! Upon graduating from the University of Vermont, he worked in Connecticut and Maine for five years. In 2022, Ethan and his partner, Sarah, moved to Seattle for Sarah’s job and to experience life outside New England. While they think of home often, they and their crazy Afghan hound mix, Wallace, are thoroughly enjoying the PNW. Ethan’s off-hours activities include running, skiing, playing the guitar, reading, and dabbling in woodworking.
