Little House / Big Shed

Little House / Big Shed

Whidbey Island, WA

Set on the edge of a Whidbey Island ravine, Little House / Big Shed is a 1150 square foot home nestled among the thick Douglas Firs and Alders just outside of Langley. It features high ceilings and extensive windows allowing maximum light into the space and enabling the residents to be part of the natural surroundings. The larger building (Little House) includes kitchen and living spaces with the ‘aviary’ bedroom on the second floor. The smaller building (Big Shed) is a studio that doubles as a guest suite for occasional overnight visitors.
