Bridle Trails State Park is a 489-acre park located in Kirkland with 28 miles of trails, equestrian arenas, and picnic and day-use facilities. The Bridle Trails Environmental Education Center consists of two new structures tucked within the existing mature trees of Bridle Trails Park. The primary building is a gathering space with large windows for ample sunlight and forest views. The structure is designed to be light on the land with limited foundations and cantilevered floor and roof framing. The expressed timber structure and green roofs provide a connection to the surrounding environment. The project also includes trail improvements to provide better access for all to the site.
