Sammamish, WA
Typical of homes built in the 1970s, the original design of this Sammamish Plateau home included many small rooms and little natural light. This project was the complete renovation of the main floor, addition of a great room, enclosing the existing front porch, and adding a new covered porch and a new deck. The renovation transformed the interiors into large rooms with light colors and extensive natural and built-in lighting. The structural portion included the removal of several bearing walls and the structural design to accommodate the open spaces and the new 1-story great room and porch addition.
