The new 3-story, 54,000 square foot Hilltop Regional Health Center includes urgent care, dental, medical, pharmacy and laboratory space. The structural floor framing system consists of composite steel beams with metal deck and topping. This was an economical solution to allow for future building flexibility. The stair and elevator walls were designed as concrete shearwalls to provide the seismic force resisting system. A separate three-story parking garage with 250 stalls is adjacent to the clinic. The garage is a post-tensioned concrete structure with interior concrete shearwalls that allow the perimeter of the building to be opened up for high visibility. Pre-tensioned cable rails were used as a vehicle barrier system to maintain the openness of the exterior façade.
