2501 N Alder Adaptive Reuse

2501 N Alder is the adaptive reuse of a Tacoma convenience store for use by a law office. This change in use triggered a substantial alteration requiring the building to be evaluated and retrofitted to meet Life Safety requirements. The one-story, heavy timber framed building has steel girder beams in the attic supported by steel pipe columns and a brick veneer.
This project won the 2022 Tenant Improvement Under $5 million – Build Washington Award for Construction Excellence from the AGC Washington Chapter.
