2018 Merit Award- AIA/WA Civic Design Awards
The Bellingham Federal Building Renovation won a 2018 AIA Washington Council Civic Design Awards / Merit Award for the outstanding transformation of the former Federal Building for use by the City of Bellingham. The design team included SHKS Architects, The Greenbusch Group (mechanical), K Engineers (electrical), Blanca Lighting and Haley Consulting Group (cost estimating).

Eleanor Apartments / / 09.10.16
Construction begins September 2016 on the Mercy Housing's Eleanor Apartments in Bellingham. When completed in fall 2017, the housing project will have 80 one-bedroom apartments for low-income seniors.
The Penrose Luxury Hotel / / 05.19.17
The former YMCA and a new addition next door will house the 82-room Penrose Hotel, as well as a restaurant and bar.

Two historic structures on Whidbey Island, the Coupeville Wharf and a 19th century log cabin near Langley — have been added to the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation's Most Endangered Places list.
