The new Lex Apartments is a 247-unit project at 415 St. Helens Ave., north of downtown Tacoma. The structure is one level of a light-gauge metal penthouse over seven floors of ISSI structural panels and light-gauge metal over a five-level post-tensioned concrete podium. The exterior envelope employs a rain screen system with a combination of masonry units and cementitious panel siding. Level 1 has a lobby, sales area, fitness room, mail room, and public restroom. Level 2 has two internal courtyard patio areas. And rooftop amenities include a dog wash/play area, a lounge, a culinary kitchen, and a sun deck.
