Cycle House

This new 2400 square foot home in the Mt. Baker neighborhood of Seattle was designed largely around the owners’ passion for cycling. The new energy efficient/low maintenance home features a bike shop for their 18 bikes, multiple roof decks to enjoy the view of Lake Washington, an attached garage, a great room featuring a blackened steel fireplace, and a centralized stairwell that connects all three floors and is lit from the center by a translucent LED-illuminated wall. A hydronic heating system was installed and industrial-quality materials were used including clear cedar, asphalt plank flooring, stained plywood, stained concrete and stainless steel.
