The new 6,000 SF Center Road Residence residence is near Swifts Bay at the northeast end of Lopez Island. Through collaboration with Studio TF and Thomas Fragnoli Construction, this project features dyed concrete floors, exposed wood and steel structures, plenty of windows for natural light, vaulted ceilings, a two-story wraparound porch, and rough sawn wood siding harvested from the site. Vast fenestrations on the west facade of the home showcase views of the Puget Sound. The heavy timber structural system consists of custom exposed structural elements with hidden connections and wood shear walls for wind and gravity support.
