Seattle-based structural engineering firm Swenson Say Faget (SSF) promoted Lori DeBoer to senior project manager and Randy James to drafting manager. DeBoer was hired in 2017. Her work includes the historic renovation of FX McRory’s in Seattle and the Penrose Hotel in Walla Walla, along with the new $70 million Bellevue Christian Campus for grades 7 – 12 in Medina. James joined the SSF team in 1999 and assumed leadership of the CAD drafting team upon the retirement of Rob Galus.

The Seattle Public Library (SPL) will significantly increase its free English language learning programs over the next two years, thanks to a $450,000 grant from Carnegie Corporation of New York awarded to The Seattle Public Library Foundation.
