Tavolata has arrived – a new option for Italian food on Capitol Hill. Located at the intersection of East Pike and Summit, this was a tenant improvement project on the street level of the historic Dunn Motors Building. SSF provided structural design for the wood framed “ceiling cloud” which consisted of wood slat rafters supported by steel channels mounted on existing columns. We also provided structural design for shelving supports, mechanical support and attachments, exterior sidewalk deck supports and handrails.
