Located near the shoreline on Orcas Island, this project was the new construction of a 4000 SF residence and the remodel of several existing cabins and the boathouse. The owner’s goal was to have a place to share adventures with friends and family. The main home features vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling window walls, exposed timber beams, a slide, exposed steel and large lift-slide doors that open up the interior living spaces to the expansive porches.

A commercial-grade community kitchen and gathering/living space was also included as part of this project. See the Deforest Architects website for photos and more information.
