Madrona Highlands is a 52-unit apartment complex owned and operated by Housing Hope, a non-profit that develops and manages affordable housing in Snohomish Country, and Edmonds Lutheran Church (ELC). The project consists of four 3-story buildings totaling 46,000 SF. The apartments range from 1-3 bedrooms, and the facility includes shared community and children’s areas, a community pantry, offices, and a shared sports court with the church. Edmonds Lutheran Church provides a hot meal program to support the residents. All four buildings are conventionally wood framed over concrete slab-on-grade. The roof framing is plywood pre-manufactured trusses, the floor framing system is plywood over TJI joists, and the lateral force resisting system is light-framed wood shear walls.
