Andy’s Place – Compass Health Supportive Housing

Everett, WA

The grand opening of Andy’s Place, also known as Phase I of Compass Health’s Broadway Campus Redevelopment Project, includes 82 units of supportive housing-doubling the number of Compass’ housing units in Snohomish County. The new 5-story, 46,800 SF multi-unit building provides housing for individuals with chronic behavioral health needs, individuals transitioning out of Western State Hospital, and veterans experiencing homelessness. The ground floor has a 5,200 SF community center that provides on-site mental health programming, peer support, homeless outreach, housing stabilization support, and other relevant programs.

The structure is 5-levels of Type V light-framed wood construction. The western portion of the building has slab-on-grade and conventional shallow foundations near street level off Lombard Ave. The site topography slopes down a whole story from west to east, and the eastern portion contains a daylight basement with a mild reinforced structural slab at level 1.

Compass Health provides affordable housing assistance to more than 500 individuals throughout Snohomish, Skagit, and Island Counties. Most of the housing supports those with a chronic mental illness experiencing homelessness.
