The Ferndale Library won an Honorable Mention at the 2017 AIA Washington Council Civic Design Awards.
The American Institute of Architects Washington Council selected 15 projects to win the 2017 Civic Design Awards for top public projects.
Projects must either be located in Washington or be designed by architects from Washington.
There were 42 entries, and four award levels: honor, merit, citation and honorable mention.
The jury was Brett Baba of Graham Baba Architects, Ed Weinstein of Weinstein A+U and Rick Benner of Western Washington University.
