This 8 million renovation and addition to the West Seattle YMCA remodels approximately 13,000 sf of the existing facility and adds an 8,400 sf heavy timber and light framed structure to the original CMU and timber building. The roof structure of the new addition features exposed architectural glulam beams and timber decking. The design includes a new entrance, community meeting room with kitchen, new HVAC, and more windows that provide daylight into the fitness areas.
