Washington State Legislative Building

SSF has been involved with the Legislative Building since 1998. The scope of work began with a seismic evaluation of the primary structure and exterior stonework. It then continued with structural engineering in support of a $90-million rehabilitation. The knowledge gained from the 2001 earthquake response was used to refine the proposed seismic upgrades and rehabilitation. Multiple renovations have been completed since the 2001 seismic work, including miscellaneous repairs, a roof repair, a crack investigation, and various other projects.
