Lake Forest Park Residence

Located on a wooded site north of Seattle, the floor plan of this 1950’s home was re-organized to create a spacious, light-filled master bedroom suite surrounded by glass and views to the forest. The main living/dining spaces were slightly enlarged, and a new roof monitor with high windows was added to bring natural light into the space. One of the many sustainable design features was the installation of radiant heating under the terrazzo flooring to create an even heat source with maximum energy efficiency.
