Kolstrand Building

The renovation of the 13,800-square-foot Kolstrand Building, a two-story structure located just south of Ballard Hardware. The building has spent most of its life as a metal machine shop for the Kolstrand Marine Supply Co. The renovated spaces include first-floor retail and restaurant spaces, with offices above. The 8,100 square-foot three-story addition above and behind the existing structure adds several work/loft units. The penthouse office suite addition is carefully placed on top of the existing roof in consideration of the scale of the neighborhood.
