Gaming Studio Redmond

This project was the renovation of a 69,000 SF office building for a gaming studio in Redmond, WA. Its design focused on integrating unique aspects and design motifs of the developer’s primary game throughout the space. The office features a large, 2-story atrium space for team gatherings and presentations. Office areas have an open neighborhood floor plan with large and small conference/meeting rooms throughout. Additionally, the project includes game testing and demonstration areas. The existing building has tilt-up concrete exterior walls with open web steel joists, concrete fill over metal deck floor framing on the 2nd floor, and pre-manufactured wood trusses at the roof. SSF’s design scope included new wall framing and modifications to the existing frame, operable partitions, and AV equipment supports. The existing steel atrium’s stairs and guardrails were also extensively modified to meet current code requirements, integrate glass infill panels, and achieve the client’s aesthetic goals.
