Originally constructed in the 1970’s, this project was the renovation of an 8,500-square-foot wood framed structure for the Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate Admissions and Alumni Relations programs. A 2,360-square-foot addition provides assembly and reception areas, a vestibule and a kitchen. The structural framing for the addition includes exposed glulam beams and steel supporting columns. Extensive updates to the exterior of the existing building are a prominent and highly visible new campus entry marker. Both the remodel and addition are LEED Gold certified through the US Green Building Council. A number of sustainable features include green-roof areas, day-lighting and raised-floor HVAC distribution systems.
