SSF provided a seismic assessment and structural design improvements for the 1906 Good Shepherd Center URM building. Originally built as the Good Shepherd Center for Wayward Girls (1906 – 1973), it is now owned by the City of Seattle Parks and Recreation, and run by Historic Seattle. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a City of Seattle designated landmark. It houses a variety of non-profit groups (The Meridian School, Neo Art School, the Wallingford Senior Center, The Alliance Francaise, and Seattle Tilth), and includes some affordable housing apartments for artists, a chapel, a performance space and meeting rooms.
