SSF worked side-by-side with Suyama Peterson Deguchi on the Center for Architecture and Design’s renovation of the 1010 Western Avenue storefront  for use by the American Institute of Architects/Seattle (AIA), Seattle Architectural Foundation (SAF), and Design In Public. Suyama Peterson Deguchi and SSF have been long-time supporters of these organizations and were excited to offer our services to support their communal office needs.

All three clients needed a space that would function not only as an office, but was also easily adaptable for gallery use, community gatherings, and private meetings. The Center features 2-story high walls that easily pivot to provide open space with natural light or a closed conference area for private meetings.
