Holy Rosary Church

A new 22,000 square foot addition is complete for the Holy Rosary Parish of Edmonds. The first floor of this two-story facility includes offices, a youth room, a library, and a food and clothing bank run by St. Vincent de Paul. The second floor is a reception/meeting area with a stunning view of Puget Sound, complete with a full kitchen for events of any kind. The building structure is a steel post and beam system with light gauge steel stud shear walls. Steel sunscreens cantilever off of full height tube steel columns at the north and west elevations. The roof structure is metal decking over pre-manufactured steel joists. The first floor is metal pan deck with concrete topping over steel beams and columns. Horizontal steps in the exterior walls required transfer framing for both vertical and lateral loads.
