Wallingford Eco House

Wallingford Eco House

Seattle, WA

This new single family residence located in Wallingford replaced a small 1920’s house originally on the lot. The footprint of the original house was maintained since it fit the general scale and order of the neighborhood. The upper floor was rotated to maximize the view of Mt. Rainier. The house has earned a 5 star Built-Green rating. Sustainable features include a wood/gas radiant heating system, solar panels for electricity and hot water heating, a 3,000 gallon rainwater cisterns for toilets, washing machine and landscape irrigation, and a pervious driveway.
