Suncrest Residence

This new 3,000-square-foot residence is located on a pristine Orcas Island site with a view of the Sound. The owners requested that their new home be built from their favorite materials, wood and concrete, and be constructed with minimal impact on the land.  The home is appropriately situated on a large rocky clearing with views to the sea, surrounded by a mature forest. Minimal tree removal was accomplished. The narrow footprint of the home allows a view from every room while also retaining a connection to forest. Suncrest received a Merit Award – from the AIA NW & Pacific Region.
