Southwest Community Center

To meet the programming needs of the neighborhood, this project added a teen center, computer room and 7,000-square-foot gymnasium to the 12,000-square-foot Southwest Community Center. The new athletic facility will also be used for childcare and summer camp programs, and to provide space for community events, meetings and rentals.  SWCC was designed to meet LEED Silver Certification and used recycled steel and locally produced structural materials in its construction. It was also designed for deconstruction so it can be moved to another site when the neighborhood outgrows the facility.
