Neighborhood House

Located in the High Point area of Seattle Neighborhood House is a community organization dedicated to helping diverse local communities become more self-sufficient. We provided engineering on a new two-story, wood-framed building to house their early childhood education center and family-support services. The entrance is double height with a bridge connecting the upper-level spaces. Wood framing was the most economical building solution, though due to the building configuration, the design had to be creative. Strong backs were used at the tall stories, and to support a number of canopies.
