J & M Hotel Adaptive Reuse

J & M Hotel Adaptive Reuse

Seattle, WA

Originally constructed in 1889, the J&M Hotel Building has had multiple additions in various eras and is suffering from noticeable settlement issues and deferred maintenance. SSF is working with BuildingWork and Seneca Ventures to renovate the J&M into a boutique hotel that will serve the Pioneer Square District. It will include a restaurant/bar on the street level and a speakeasy in the basement. Existing structural systems will be significantly reconfigured, new bracing systems will be added, and extensive foundation repairs will be made to accommodate the preservation of this historic structure.

This project did not move forward into construction.
