The owners of this project asked Pete Nelson to design something reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright’s prairie style architecture. The resulting treehouse has very strong horizontal lines with cantilevered decks and plenty of windows. To accommodate this design, high seismic loads required the use of cable cross bracing and custom steel connections below the platform to transfer the treehouse weight to the foundations.
